Groot collects unlimited bulk items each week with a prepaid disposal sticker on each item: furniture such as tables, chairs, sofas and bookcases, mattresses, box springs, and car tires removed from the rim. Oversized items need a special pickup (630-892-9294).
Cost & rules
- Before you go: Attach a prepaid disposal sticker to each item (sold at City Hall, local stores and groot.com).

Check for moisture, mold or bed bugs; many recyclers refuse damaged bedding.
