    How it works

Manufacturer-funded electronics recycling under Connecticut's 2007 e-waste law (CGS 22a-629 to 22a-640), overseen by CT DEEP. Every town must give its residents a free drop-off point, usually at the transfer station or recycling center, for televisions, computers, monitors and printers (seven or fewer at a time). Some towns also join regional one-day collections. Ask your local recycling coordinator where and when.

    Cost & rules
    • Drop off at the collection point your town designates (often the transfer station); ask your local recycling coordinator. A town may charge a facility access fee only if other free DEEP-approved locations are available.
