Kiowa County's landfill, which the county also calls the Eads Landfill. Open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 8 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; general waste is charged by the pound, with separate e-waste and tire fees. The county page gives no street address.
Kiowa County bales cardboard, #1, #2 and #5 plastics, aluminum and baling twine at its Recycling Center in Sheridan Lake (302 Kansas Ave.) and collects from drop-off sites around the county on Tuesdays, including cardboard-only dumpsters.
The program recycles corrugated and flat cardboard, but not wet, dirty, oil-soaked, food-stained, painted or waxed cardboard. Checked October 26, 2026.
Boxes larger than 12 inches in any dimension must be flattened or broken down. Checked October 26, 2026.
