Accepts metal appliances (microwaves, washers, dryers, refrigerators with doors and coolant removed), metal furniture, tools, pipe and more. Call the Baler (907-835-2356) before hauling more than a truckload.

City of Valdez Solid Waste Department: the City Baler Facility at 500 S. Sawmill Drive (907-835-2356), open 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Saturday, and the Environmental Operations Station, which collects household hazardous waste, paints and oils. Batteries can be recycled at the Baler.
